Today, modernized workforces have been finding the ability to use mobile devices a more convenient way to work, but also faster. Law enforcement have been using mobile devices to collect evidence, communicate with informants, team members, and interagency support members, managing chain of custody and a myriad of other tasks. However as with any modernization effort, criminals also modernize, and attacks against not just mobile devices but the human element.
In this talk we will briefly discuss threat actors who target mobile devices, raise awareness to malware and surveillanceware, and how Lookout can help law enforcement agencies to protect these mobile devices, and prevent data being accessed and exfiltrated, or even shared with the media. We will close with diving into some of our latest features and our EDR capability as well as other things agencies should be aware of to protect their mobile devices.
